Staff Positions


SCT (Entering 12th Grade)
SCTs engage in a 4 week training program to help them develop into great specialists and counselors. SCTs are involved in hands-on-training by living in cabin with two staff members and campers, participating in unit evening programs and cabin meals, working one period a day with the cabin and one in an activity area. In addition, SCTs have one training period a day and a small group mentoring experience with a member of the administration.

Specialists (High School graduate +)
Specialists spend the majority of their day in one of our many activity areas around camp. These staff provide skill based learning specific to the activity and age group. From swim instructors to ropes course facilitators to theatre specialist, staff with skills to share and teach to children fill out the ranks of the specialists. Specialist are also attached to a cabin group and participate fully in the life of the campers.

Counselors (High School Graduate +)
Counselors move through the camp day along with their cabin group and enjoy the same activities as the campers. They provide individualized support to the campers in their care and help those children develop healthy social skills. Counselors enthusiasm for being at camp and knack for creating special moments for their cabin make camp the memorable experience it is.


Masada Counselor (21+ Preferred)
Masada Counselors help facilitate an important right-of-passage experience for our oldest campers including a two week trip to Colorado. They support the campers in cooking their own food and maintaining their own teen village. Counselors help the Unit Head in creating all Masada programming.

Unit Head (21+ preferred)
Unit Heads supervise our camper units and are part of our senior staff. These positions are filled with college seniors, educators, graduate students and leaders on college campuses around the world. They create age-appropriate programming and support their unit staff in working with the campers. Unit Heads are key problem solvers and camper advocates making sure campers are learning healthy social skills that will aid them for life.

Area Director (21+ preferred)
Area Directors supervise our activity areas and are part of our senior staff. These positions are filled with college seniors, educators, graduate students and leaders on college campuses around the world. They create activity area curriculum and ensure the safe management of their area. Area Directors support area staff in safely leading activities and fulfilling all aspects of their job. Area Directors are responsible for the great skill teaching that happens at camp.
